In an attempt to break up the monotony of posts about our east coast trip, here is a long string of photos to catch up on life here lately (according to my iPhone, anyway). Even though I don't have much extra room in my cottage, I do my best to display some festive seasonal cheer! I don't have a fireplace, so the top of my microwave serves as my "mantle".
Farmers market flowers... I love the spicy-sweet aroma of these Sweet Williams, and they last for weeks!
There have been a lot of kitty snuggle sightings lately...
Olive and I having a cocktail by the pool in Anaheim.
Fantastic dinner at Park Ave under the trees and stars in Stanton, CA. The food was delicious, and many of the ingredients were freshly picked from their organic garden on the grounds... the chef was even so kind as to give us a tour!
A long weekend away from Rudybega makes him a velcro-puppy after I return.
I spent a weekend cleaning and organizing... and I discovered I have a huge stationery hoarding issue. I found stationery sets stashed in all of the nooks and crannies of the cottage!
Getting everything organized made it possible to clear and set up a work area in my cottage for crafts and calligraphy.
Much of my free time lately has been spent trying to learn calligraphy... I'm slowly making progress!
Here is Rudy enjoying an indian summer afternoon, taking a walk through the redwoods. He keeps a nervous eye out for horses on the trail...
Right now the Penny Ice Creamery has chai flavored ice cream that is to die for... and I can never say no to a scoop of their chocolate sorbet.
A little tea wisdom, as always.
