Brent and I stayed an extra day after our mountain biking weekend to explore the towns around Mendocino so I booked a night for us at the Atrium Bed and Breakfast in Fort Bragg. This was our first experience staying in a B&B together, and it was nice to feel like we were staying in a warm and welcoming home of a relative rather than staying in a hotel full of strangers.
We stayed in the Quilt room, and the bed was fabulous. I'm a sucker for good bedding.
The place is called The Atrium for a rather obvious reason... there's an atrium connecting the two buildings on the property.
Breakfast is my favorite meal so naturally having a hot, home-cooked meal ready when we rolled out of bed was heaven. Although it is not pictured here, I will soon share the recipe of an incredible breakfast dish the owner made... I've made it twice already since we've been back!
Bed and breakfasts are definitely the way to go. I was sold the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by Gracie, the resident pup... an "-oodle" of some kind, I assume.
I'll get that breakfast recipe posted in the next couple of days and share the pictures we took around Fort Bragg and Mendocino before we headed home. Then you're in for a special treat when Brent does a guest post on the little pub we found in Mendocino that he fell in love with... I just don't think I would do it justice.
