I have a lot of posts and pictures to catch up on, so I thought Flashback Friday would be a good idea to highlight some things from recent past. Plus I love alliteration, so why not. I took a week of vacation a few months ago when I knew Brent had a break from his rounds and would be visiting. We had no plans for the week, so we spontaneously decided to drive down to Big Sur and camp for the night. A co-worker of mine had recommended I check out Kirk Creek campground (about 30 minutes south of Big Sur) so I had a feeling that's where we would end up. We got lucky and scored the last available campsite in the small, unmarked campground and pulled up just before a few other carfulls of people scoured the grounds for available spots. It was obvious why this place was full... it sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean, with a wide-angled view of the surrounding coast. I have a feeling I will be heading back there again - the view was incredible and it was a nice, quiet little location. I highly recommend it if you're ever in the Big Sur area!
I'm dying to go back again. I definitely want to make this a regular habit - it's only an hour and a half drive, and it's without a doubt the most breathtaking place I've ever seen!
